Forte di Belvedere opening

Friday 2nd June 2017 the Forte di Belvedere will open with the exhibition “YTALIA Energy Thought Beauty”

The Ytalia exhibition offers the opportunity to encounter some of the major artists of our times with over one hundred works on display at Forte di Belvedere and in some of the city’s symbolic locations:  a veritable museum of contemporary art in the heart of Florence, between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, museums and gardens, funerary chapels and areas of political life, galleries and studios, cloisters and crypts.

With Ytalia Florence strengthens its vocation of contemporaneity.  Together with the artists it reflects on its civil history and heritage, on the great cultural legacies of the past, on present-day society, on the permanence of myths and fables, on the archetypes and iconographic traditions, on the exchange between artistry and art, arts and sciences, sacredness and anthropology.
