Museo Marino Marini

In the deconsecrated Church of San Pancrazio are 184 works by the sculptor Marino Marini (1901–1980), arranged according to the artist’s instructions about the choice of materials and the natural lighting of the rooms. Laid out on more than one floor, the works include sculptures in bronze and cement, polychrome plasters and canvases, portraits and drawings.

Thanks to the opening of a passageway running directly from the Marino Marini Museum, it is possible to visit one of the “wonders” of the Florentine Renaissance: the Sacellum or Shrine of the Holy Sepulchre, an architectural jewel by Leon Battista Alberti, and ideally a reproduction of the tomb of Christ in Jerusalem.
